A Positive Attitude Begins with Positive Self Talk and Thoughts

postive-attitudeA positive attitude is an essential ingredient to success.  One way to achieve a positive attitude is by changing our self talk.  Successful people are positive thinkers and thought leaders.  They know that they can get it done and they know that they have what it takes to teach others to do the same.

It all starts with your attitude which can be changed in an instant.  It starts with being positive and constantly telling yourself that you can achieve that BIG DREAM.  Constantly affirm to yourself via positive affirmations and remember that if you have 1% doubt you’re out.  One drop of poison can kill you dead and so can negative thoughts that infiltrate your brain.  Positive affirmations yields success – Period.

Negative thoughts pop up in our minds primarily due to fear.  Fear will cause you to talk yourself out of doing the very thing that you need to do to succeed.  So, don’t pay attention to those negative thoughts when they jump into your head.  As a matter of fact do yourself a favor and wear a rubber band and every time a negative thought pops in your head, pop your wrist with that rubber band and make sure that you use it to switch your thinking.

Your thoughts will have a direct impact on your attitude.  They will determine if you’re happy or sad.  Stinking thinking usually yields a funky attitude.  When our self talk and thoughts are happy, so is our attitude.  This is not just my opinion.  Studies have shown this to be true. So, if you want to when friends and influence people, do yourself a favor and change your thoughts and self-talk.

You may also have to change the people you hang around.  Studies have shown that people generally earn the average of the 7 people they hang around the most, therefore if you’re not earning what you feel you should then maybe you should hang around new people.  This especially holds true for negative people.  Negative people not only can have a negative impact on your attitude, but they also can have a negative impact on your income.

You’ve heard the saying, “What you think about, you bring about.”  So if you control your thoughts, you can control your future.  While it is easy for me to talk about this in an article, it is not easy to do.  Real change happens one second at a time.  So, if you want to control your self-talk you will have to do it one second and one thought at a time.  But challenge yourself to do it.  You won’t regret that you did.
